Mr. Metz graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Mankato State University with a major in Accounting and was licensed as a CPA in 1977. On November 1, 2010 he and his partners merged their accounting practice into Abdo, Eick & Meyers, LLP.
He is responsible for audits at AEM and is a partner in our business team. His clients include Non Profits, small businesses and individual tax work. Technical performance and overall quality assurance on all audit and accounting engagements on historical and prospective financial statements are a particular specialization.
Bill is one of the busiest Peer Review practitioners in this area, reviewing other CPA practices to assure their processes meet industry standards. He has served on the AICPA Peer Review Board and MNCPA Peer Review Committee and MNCPA Board of Directors
Non Profit organizations are of special interest to Bill, having served on Boards of many non-profits . He is a long time participant and volunteer with The United Way, Ridgedale YMCA, Y Service Club and Hopkins Arts Center, to name a few.
Bill enjoys fishing, boating and scuba diving and admits to succumbing to something he calls "the fever". This is a curious affliction brought on by balmy Minnesota afternoons and cured with irons, woods and dimpled white balls.
